Good to see you posting again! Good luck with it all.

Well Thank you. Whether I continue t do this build or decide to buy a 5.0 car or even a S550 car. I am looking forward to being more active on this site. There is so much great info on here I have really missed being a part of it.

That's the thing about budgeting is that I didn't pay all at once. This was about 3-4 month span.

I could of spread it out longer but I started getting impatient lol

This is how much my block build alone cost me:

This was a "budget" build.

The block price was a used and included shipping cost to the builder.

The crank and rod was purchased new from another forum member here as a deal package. It was a 3.8" Kellogg with Saleen Manely stroker rods.

Engine ended up with 302ci and 10.5:1 CR because I reused stock heads and valvetrain.

All other parts were purchased new from the builder.

Now account for another $600-1000 for other parts to install your new engine.

I did the swap myself so no cost of install.

How many miles have you put on your motor since being built? Sounds like a nice build.

The eternal debate!

Though I'm sure it used to be "should I build my SN95 or buy an S197..." LOL

Lol....I started definitely buying a '08 or '09 and building this 3V using a set up from Jason . But than I looked a '14 and thought that it would be easy to find a low mile stock '24 to start with...hmm. I had no desire for a S550 until Darren posted about trading his new car for a newer 2016. That 2016 was a beautiful silver with black wheels. I fell in love with it. Than I went back and checked out Darren's current ( as of Oct 12th...as it could change by the time I post..lol.) and that car is gorgeous also. Soo..regardless of the year 2005-2016 they all have their good points.
Whatever I decide to do I will
