I have this setup in my 89.

What would be the difference in a street and strip tune?

Part throttle doesn't matter at the track and I can't see having different shift points at WOT.

Just wondering what I am missing?

On my race tune I lock up the converter in 3rd , the street tune locks the converter after overdrive is engaged.

The Bauman controller is very easy to make adjustment too. The software if very user friendly. I have been tweeking my shifting schedule slowly based on my data logs to get the shifts right where I want them at the track.
