do you have to have the vehicles weight to do this?

best 60' to date: updated below
I know there are a lot of variables (weather, tires, track condition, driver skill, etc.) but it could be interesting to see if there's any correlation to 60' times and how the AS/IC plots. I've read lots of threads where folks list their setups generically (springs/shocks/tires/LCA position/etc.), but having the numbers to go along with it might paint a better picture.
new PB today at the MIR track rental:
12.425 @ 108.93, w/1.67 60'. backed it up with a 12.463 @ 108.68, 1.69 60'
Temps ranged from 59-65deg, with DA range of 76-465ft as the day progressed (per dragtimes weather info/calculator).
-weight with driver/gear 3660 lbs
-front struts set to full loose
-rear shocks set to +4 clicks
-rear tires @ 18psi
-launching at around 5000rpm
Awesome times…..Gotta be loving the 1.67 60' times, that's a long way from where you started.
It's better then my best 60' , by the way love this thread, I will adding to these measurements come spring.
Congrats!!!
Not important at this hp level . Bone stock (no suspension mods)with 312 rwhp at 3798lbs car went [email protected] mph. Let me know if you need help!!
nice!
more details on the car? what year, stick or auto, gears, wheels/tires, track conditions, etc. what was the 60' for that bone stock run? I've seen other threads/posts where you've hit 1.2x 60' but I don't think that was when it had only 312 rwhp
Car was a stickshift with a cai, spec 3 clutch, sfi flywheel, 1 piece driveshaft, 4.10 gear, tune by me(sct handheld) 3 tenths and 3 mph better then sutton tried to do!! Stock wheels on a m/t dragradial ! 1.61 60ft NO SUSPENSION mods! Yes then I went to auto built boosted 298 CID stock head and throttle body btw!
thanks for the info Blackblurr, I'll drop you a PM soon!
shiiiieeet I want that tune!! lol
Any change in the 60" time? Here is a quick comparison, showing how crucial the rear IC/AS settings are.
The car in this video is a Brembo 2013 GT on stock tires w/35psi.
The first video is all stock geometry, with BMR UCA/UCM and BMR LCA:

As you can see, wheel-hop is still there. I suggested that he drop the UCA down to the lower mounting position on our bracket.
The only change was lowering the UCA Mounting point 1", which shortened the IC and raised the AS%.

As you can see, wheel-hop was completely eliminated.(traction was increased substantially)
