Any Tabaki smokers here?

Anyone here a Connaisseur of tobacco?
I recently returned to my pipes and dumped the cigarettes.
Been an off and on pipe smoker for 20 yrs.
Cigarettes for 27. But no more.
Thought it might be an interesting subject for a good diversion.
It is an art to smoke a pipe.

I work at a Chevy dealer as a lot attendant. Our little area in the back is quiet, for the most part, and warm. So now all the salesman come back to smoke...I hate being back there when they do. I'll open up the garage doors and let the 40-degree air in just to kind of hint that they can kill themselves with their tobacco, but I don't want to go that way.

When the racewars start and everything is set aflame, your lungs will be prepared.

I hit the cigs and thoroughly enjoy the occasional cigar.

Just wont admit it cuz it has such a stigma attached these days.

Ive always loved a pipe but never was exclusive with it.
But recently I fully quit the cigs in favor of the pipe.
Funny story that happened recently when I went to the pipe exclusively.
I have been a cigarette smoker since I was 19.
I had smoked a pipe over the years but never Only the pipe.
Well i stopped the cigs for a week and only smoked the pipe.
I found an unopened pack in my car that was about a week old.
I decided I would not let it go to waste so I opened it and lit one up.
Wow.
After 2 drags on the cig I put it out.
These things are nasty as hell. Why did I ever smoke these?
I threw the whole pack away.
Surprised me big time.

Like I said Pipe smoking is an Art Form for lack of a better description.
It takes practice and recognizing what you are doing right, and wrong.

I smoke cigs and like the occasional cigar with a nice glass of brandy. Nice thing about being here in Europe is getting Cuban cigars legally.

LOL it was Menthol.
I smoked Kool longs for 2 decades.
Salem before that.
John Player Specials before that.
And Camel Studs before that.
Started with the Studs to keep me awake on Guard Duty.

Never was a big Cigar fan.
Got too dizzy.
But a Swisher Sweet now and then was gooood....

But Pipes are, and were my favorite.
And what a variety to choose from (Tobacco wise).
And ya actually get complements from Non-Smokers about the smell.
Instead of that Sneer of Disgust with the cigs and gars.
And lets not even get into the Ex-Smoker comments.

I've always loved the smell of pipe smoke but I can't see myself smoking one for some reason.
I still love smoking the occasional good cigar and fortunately I can go to Cuba to get them myself

I've smoked for way too long. Kinda startled me when I actually thought about it and realized I have smoked for 30 years.

I do like cigars at social drinking functions. Have a humidor with a pretty extensive collection in it.
