Auto Transmission slips when going into 3rd gear.

hello everyone Im new here. just looking for some help with my car. i have a 2010 base v6 4.0 with about 75k miles on it, every time you drive the car when its cold the trans will rev to 3500rpm before it shifts into 3rd gear. this is the only gear that makes the trans slip. it only does it when its cold if the car is fully warmed up it shifts somewhat smoothly this issue is not intermittent its happens every single time you drive it cold. its had this issue for over 2 years, its never thrown any type of transmission code.
