Amazing how similar overall gearing is from 2nd through 6th gears between a 6R80 with 4.10's and an MT82 with 3.73's.
6R80 - 4.10 rear gear
1st 4.17 17.09
2nd 2.34 9.59
3rd 1.52 6.23
4th 1.14 4.67
5th 0.87 3.56
6th 0.69 2.82
MT82 - 3.73 rear gear
1st 3.66 13.65
2nd 2.43 9.06
3rd 1.69 6.30
4th 1.32 4.92
5th 1.00 3.73
6th 0.65 2.42
1st gear is really the only significant difference. However, that 4.17 1st gear in the 6R80 doesn't give me any traction problems at the track. 275/60/15 M&H DR's (28" tall) at 23 psi and it dead hooks.
I spend about 10 days at the local dragstrips each year, leaving 355 days of daily driving with wildly entertaining 4.10 gears that make me smile every day looking for excuses to drive just for recreation.
