So I'm in the process of getting ready to install my airlift system and when I started removal of my left front tire I found this. The sway bar mount broke off of the radiator support. Everything under the car is bmr except for a-arms. Which they are going on during airlift install. Any ideas of what could have caused this?

Is that one of their older design? I think they had an issue with this a few years ago and redesigned the part. Definitely get with Kelly or Dylan, they should take care of you on this.

It's been on for 3yrs. If you look closely it's a very recent break. The steel hasn't started to rust yet.

AutoXRacer (Gerald) had one break on him a few years ago and he wrote about it. I think his was the one which led to the redesign.

It is def a high stress area for the sway bar, we had similar issues with our radiator/sway/intercooler brace we make for the turbo kits. We have had to redesign it twice now with support gussets and thicker material in that area.

Sorry to see that you're having issues with your rad support. As Skwerl pointed out, that is an old design and we did have some issues with that design originally. We've since revised the design and I'd be happy to replace that for you. Just shoot me a PM or an email ([email protected]) with all your info and I'll get you squared away.
