About to buy a 5.0 stroker kit with h beam rods and standard bore pistons JE 18cc dished.

I have a set of arias -24cc dished pistons that are .020" over. What would you use?? Big hp car. 850-1000. I had stock stroke with the h beams and the arias pistons but broke something and going through motor so figured now is time if I am going to change something. I know my current compression is 8.5:1 which is lower than I want. Its why I am picking up stoker kit. How much would that help with compression if I used the arias pistons? Or use the JE 18cc dished pistons on the other block I have?

Car is a twin turbo on corn

The compression ratio will go up half a point if you go from a stock stroke to a 3.75" stroke. Therefore if you stick with 18cc pistons the CR would be 9.0:1 (assuming stock bore & 3.75" stroke I.e. displacement of 4871cc or 297ci).

What if I went .020” on bore?

The displacement would be 4926cc or 300.6ci, and the CR would be virtually unchanged compared to a standard bore stroker. If you want a true 5.0L displacement, you'd have to go with a 3.572" bore (+0.020") and a 3.80" stroker crank (4992cc or 305ci). The CR would be slightly higher at 9.1:1.

So would you use the .020" over with the -24cc or the standard bore -18cc for twin turbo setup trying to make around 950ish

With either bore size I'd use the -18cc piston. This will keep the CR around 9.0, whereas a -24cc would bring the CR down to 8.4 and you'd need more boost to make the same power.
