Thanks. It has an insurance salvage title. That wouldn't have happen in the 48. But labor and shipping parts to Hawaii is expensive, so that's a typical thing to happen here.

oh I know plenty (i'm in the army). it was a big ordeal with tasca. I asked for a shipping quote for the stuff, they replied with a customized cart. I double checked they understood hawaii and they confirmed. paid 320 for shipping. then after two weeks and no shipping confirmation I called to see what was up.

back and fourth with them. they wanted 1,200 more, then 9, then 600. they screwed up but were just going to cancel my order if I didn't pay. I wasn't trying to get over on them, but I couldn't have made it anymore clear to them

I priced it out through them too. showed them tasca prices and stated that I'd prefer to support them instead of shipping but they wouldn't budge off the "list" price. so it was still $500 cheaper after paying all the shipping costs

Just noticed someone threw the 13/14 Tails on there, which I love, but hate the gap. You could either now (since you're respraying the car) pick up a '13 bumper to match, or if you're going the originality route, get some used 2010 tails and make $700+ for whats on there. Good score!

not going to do the bumper. I've spent way too much of my "budget" on mods for the car already. so it's laughable at this point. was only supposed to do a pulley and tune...

I agree they look funny. I'll get those rings that fill it out or something down the road. not a big concern at the moment

AM has a plastic strip that fills the gap

Just got back to 2010 tails and pocket that cash. I love the look but without the proper gaps filled or bumper, it's an extra $700 hanging out the back IMO

No real update. Car still sits untouched at the frame shop. Guy is sick, no timeline to fix it. We have a tropical storm in the area, so it's just raining anyways.

Parts continue to collect on the shelf. I'm going to port match the blower to the VMP elbow and polish both. Will also open up the bottom of the blower and emulate Posi's port for these. I'm also considering to gasket match port the bottom of the intake manifold. There seems to be some material shrouding in comparison to the heads. These pics are barrowed from those who have replied to my questions on the topic. I'd love to hear if anyone has some feedback on it

Mike

$100 bag of screws for the front bumper. Ridiculous

Manifold with gasket showing the overhang

Cylinder head intake port. Looks like a close match. Will pull my manifold and check this out. Easy clean and hopefully help the airflow a bit. I'll take any advantage I can at this point. I'm running out of money trying to mod a GT500 on a fox body budget, haha

It's not much, but has me very excited. Work getting done on the frame rack. It's straightened and getting some new metal now.

Went down to check out the car's progress and couldn't be happier. It's straight as an arrow and everything looks great. I'll have it back by the weekend.

Got the car back yesterday and it's perfect. Has a new radiator support and inner apron on the drivers side. All the panels line up in the old paint marks and the panel gap is good without even trying. Just slapped everything on today along with the new wheels and rubber. Put together the front bumper setup and hit the local cruise in spot.

Progress will slow for a month. Have family coming down and we'll use the car. Paint in September and installing all the parts I've been collecting!
