I am looking to upgrade the rear suspension on my 09 Roush. Being that my car is a stage 3 it has several suspension mods already but the lower control arms are the same as a stock GT and it has a Roush 3rd Link Wheel Hop Reduction Kit for an upper control arm - http://www.roushperformance.com/parts/3rd-Link-Wheel-Hop-Reduction-Kit-for-Mustang-2005-2010.html

My goal is to get as much traction as I can without adversely effecting the handling of my car. My car is not a drag car and will never be, but I do have serious traction issues. It is a 100% street car that I want to handle with best of them in the curves. I have ordered an Eaton truetrac differential and a Whiteline watts link, but I figured while I am tearing the car down, I might as well do everything under the rear at one time.

As of now, here is what I am planning, but I wanted to get some opinions before I pulled the trigger on it. It is all BMR stuff, but I am open to other brands if they work better than what I am considering.

My advice is to run before you are flamed to death. :banghead:

Your plan sounds good, though.

How are you liking it so far?

I suppose I should have said I ordered it, it hasn't arrived yet. That is why I was asking about control arms, I figure I should go ahead and do this all at once.

If you decide to get the whiteline watts link, I ordered it through JDM. Jim Jr. is always awesome to deal with!

That is a very solid list of parts. I can confidently state that there is not a better set of components on the market, especially when speaking of the TCA021 and CAB005. The CAB005 is the best Relocation brackets on the market, fact. That is why Whiteline used it while designing theirs, unfortunately, they left the (2) other holes out....or I would have a hard time convincing people that ours is "so much better" You really do need more than (1) mounting hole for the LCA. I borderline find it insulting for someone to duplicate such an incredible design, then force people to use the same LCA position, regardless of their other modifications and driving level. Such is life...

The TCA021 are the best LCA for the money, on the market. Those are a handling-lovers best friend. They do everything that an aftermarket LCA does, but with superior engineering and quality. They give the best all-around performance, by allowing free axle articulation, ability to adjust thrust angle, and of course they help reduce the ever-so dreaded effects of wheel-hop.

If you have any questions, please ask. Enjoy your BMR Suspension!

You on commission yet? :roflmao:

1- You don't need adjustable upper AND adjustable lowers. In fact you don't need adjustable lowers unless your frame is out of square or you're running an 8 second beast and the tires are shredding your fenders.

2- You definitely do not want rod ends for the street, you want the poly bushing style. Otherwise you will end up hating your car due to the noise and harshness.

3- You already said it's not a race car so quit trying to ruin the street manners. You're looking for the most expensive parts thinking they are the 'best' but they don't fit your intended purpose. Call Kelly at BMR and let him talk some sense into your head before you waste a bunch of money buying crap you don't need.

I kinda figured he had already investigated the LCA characteristics, but I could be wrong.

I do agree though, most people do not really need to run a rod-end on their street cars. That being said, I always have/do....but I may be a little "hard-core" lol

Call me tomorrow OP. I should be in the office closer to noon, I am still on vacation.

I didn't go for the most expensive with the uppers or lowers. The adjustable lowers where not that much more over the non adjustables, and I have had to use them on my fox before is why I was leaning that way. My fox does make some noise but it isn't so bad. That being said... the advice y'all are giving is exactly what I was looking for.

I don't think I would hate if it was harsh, but if I can get the same results with it being a nicer street ride, that is obviously the way for me to go.

My old daily driver was a 96 Cobra that was a gutted SCCA race car. Full griggs racing GR40 suspension setup, watts link, torque arm, zero sound deading, etc... That was a rough ride if you got on a bad road, but I loved driving that car.

However, my Roush is a nicer car and I do suppose I need to get out of that mindset of wanting hard core parts on a street car. So NOW I can lean for the more expensive lowers lol ;)

I installed these: http://www.bmrsuspension.com/?page=products&productid=159 TCA022

I felt it was an excellent compromise. They introduced very little noise but really helped settle the back end down. I added an adjustable UCA - UTCA019 (http://www.bmrsuspension.com/?page=products&productid=163), UCA mount, adjustable panhard bar and LCA relocation brackets.

I just installed their front end setup as well and am really enjoying the handling transformation.

I've been very pleased with their products and service.

Thank you sir, it was/has been a pleasure assisting you, and I am very pleased to hear you enjoy the parts. I remember you were a little hesitant initially, but you can see and feel the transformation first hand now, and it surely does make a HUGE difference.
