So, I tried a new set of detailing products last week on my Z06.

I'm far from a professional detailer, but you couldn't tell with the final product.

Cleaner Products:

  • Turbo Wax Car Wash
  • Turbo Wax Pre-Wax Cleaner
  • Turbo Wax Car Wax
  • Turbo Wax Polycharger Finishing Polish
  • Black Magic Tire Gel

Microfiber Hand Mitt to wash
Absorber™ to dry
Very inexpensive replacement orbital that I purchased at Auto Zone. I used a terry cloth applicator for the Pre-Wax Cleaner
Microfiber applicator on the orbital to apply the car wax.
Removed car wax with clean microfiber towel after 15 minutes of set time.
Applied the Polycharger Polish with new microfiber applicator on the orbital and then again after 15 minute set time, removed with fresh microfiber towel.
Applied tire gel with foam applicator.
Completely went over car again with large super plush microfiber towel for final wipe down.

Wait... you used a polish AFTER the wax?

Car looks good, but I think you have that part backwards.

Car looks good and makes me want my rims black. What did you do to black out the exhaust surround?

Plastidip.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, so I did the temporary fix. I've decided to actually wrap the whole tail of the car with a carbon fiber 3M vinyl. Give it that C5.R look with a little flare.

I've been thinking of doing matte black on the back but I'm still not sure. You should do the cf so I can see how that looks. Lol:idea:

Thank you! Yeah, I really dig the blacked out exhaust. That is plastidip also. Been holding up like that now for almost a year. Still doing great!
