I am using it to bring cool air into the CAI but can be used for brakes with the brake mounting kit sold by different venders (Like Steeda) note these kits come with the air duct hose, so all you need is the scoop
This Mod cost me nothing, I had an old Home Depot Ridgid Wet Dry Vac that the motor burned out on it, I kept the hose and parts, so I put them to good use...
The Pipe is 2 1/2 but a 3 inch pipe will also fit on the outside of the "scoop"
Start with the Ridgid VT2509 2 1/2" Utility Nozzle, (you can buy them from Home Depot for 7.00 ea)
Measure the opening and cut the ends off to fit. Cut a peice of plastic to fit in the ends and melt with soldering iron or use black RTV to glue into place to make a good seal. (Optional, you can leave the ends open)
TIP: try to keep the hose opening close to the bottom (off center) it makes it eaiser to fit the hose behind the bumper. as illistrated below
I made the mistake making them center and had to cut some metal tabs off the frame to make the hose fit.
if you need to cut metal out of the way, use a dremal cutting wheel and paint the exposed metal
If you need a hose you can buy the RIDGID 2 1/2 In. x 7 Ft. Replacement Tug-A-Long Wet/Dry Vac Hose
Model # VT2520 Internet # 100016791 $19.00
Or you can find the Spectre 3 Inch OD Air Duct Hose for about 26.00
Or Order 10 Feet of this DED-PVC Hose

Use Small (#2) Stainless steel screws to hold in place
Then connect the hose to the scoops and run then to your location (Brakes or CAI) I chose the CAI Location
Then use a Dremal and a utility knife to open up the honey comb located on the lower grill.
Tip, Use a metal file to get rid of the burrs and a nail emery board will buff the plastic to a nice semi gloss.
Repeat for the other side
When running the ducts make sure you keep them out of the way of normal air flow.
Use tie wraps to hold them
