What exhaust would y'all recommend for my '10 GT500? The stocker sounds good, but under WOT, the sound of the air being sucked into the motor all but drowns out the exhaust, need something louder...

The 05-09's are different from the 10-11's; the 05-09 are 3"tips and the 10-11 are 4" tips.

If tip size isn't an issue for you I know where you might be able to get a great set of BORLA Stingers gently used. They are a 4" tip rolled to 3.5" on the ends. :thumb2:

It def will fit =), i sold my friend Jodie in my car club my old Flowmasters that i pulled off my 06 when i bought my FRPP Stingers. She has a 2010 GT and everything lined up and fit perfectly. EDIT: I just realized yours is a GT500, but they will fit regardless.. The Stingers are a lot smaller then this big flowmaster muffler..

Not to stop a sale but the tips will sit inside the bumper, not flush like you have now.

Try to find a set specific to your model and year. Make sure they fit right the first time. I too have heard that the 2010+ models ass end sticks out further.

I would use the M-5230-SA, they are the same exhaust that was on the 500S race cars but made to fit the 2010 bumpers properly, wicked sound and NO drone, They only thing some people don't like are the tips, they are straight cut. acouple of my customers are using them on the GT500's and they sound wicked!!

Cool, thanks. When I had my 07 GT/CS with the Stinger's they stuck out past the cut-outs in the rear valance about 1.5 inches. I actually would have preferred them to be flush. They did have drone at ~1800-2000 rpm, but not bad. And yes, they sounded wicked.

OUCH! the M-5230-SA are $679 at Lethal P! The Borla Stingers are actually
$130 cheaper.

Thought these might help so you can see how stingers will look on a 2010+. I took these a while back. :thumb:

Nick: Absolutely interested! I sent you another PM asking for your price expectations.

Thanks, Chris, really appreciate the pics!

are those stingers designed for an 05-09? Don't look that bad at all.
I was going to ask the same question...

Yup, I also have had some macs and they look just like that. They just about sit flush with the bumper.

They look perfectly good to me. When I had the Stingers on my 07 CS, they looked like they stuck out too far IMHO. As long as they would sit flush, I would certainly entertain putting them on my GT500. Shoulda kept the ones I had!
