Ok....Butch will either be wearing M&H 325/45-17's or M/T 275/40-17 drag radials at Orlando. Depends on whether Del Pino shows up with the M&H loaners or not. If not, sponsor said he'd buy the M/T's.

So....with an automatic car, stock converter, 3.31 gears, Bite Bars and 489 tq on tap what do y'all recommend for a starting point on the air pressure in the tires? I'm thinking 22 lbs.

If you end up with the M/Ts, you'll probably be in the 16-20psi range. I ran my 275/40-17s at 17psi.

I've been running mine at 16-17psi. Anything over or under that doesn't seem to work well with my setup.

12-14 on both the 26" DRs and the 28" slicks seemed to be a good place to start for me N/A. Don't know yet with the turbos... TBD...

My 275/50's work with 15-17 psi. No shit, my 275/40's didn't work at any psi below 25.

I ran 11-12psi on the slicks. At 10psi, they would wad up or get real loose at the top end. At 13psi, they'd spin.

Interesting. I had more luck with the 275/40-17 than I did with the 275/60-15. I never could get them to work well.

I'm going to try the 275/50's today. They hook nicely on the street. Let's hope they do the same at the track.
