Much different than your everyday car tire.

+1. Drag radials' softer compounds get hard and brittle after just a couple years, making them useless. Regular tires can go 5-6 years before they go bad.

If you are really curious, write down the number that is stamped next to the bead on the sidewall of each tire. This will tell you when the tire was manufactured and how old the tire is.

Here is how you can tell for the M/T slicks.

they had a 10 on them so i'm guessing they were produced in 2010. tires are not hard or brittle or anything though..
