gear install near austin

I am looking around for a good price to get some 4.10 gears installed in Austin, TX or near by. I just got quoted 1k for parts and labor from pro-modular performance. Am I the only one who thinks this is about twice as much as it should be? Anyone have any suggestions? Your experiences and pricing would also be helpful

Not sure on pricing but try ART in Buda or Colvin's Automotive in Austin. Both shops are reputable.

I got mine done by Brian Fennell at Kyle Automotive. No whine at all. Labor was $300.

I bought the gears myself, they were under $200.

Just set up an appointment at south texas performance for next saturday. 375 for parts and labor, cant beat it! I can't wait to get them in! Thanks jewc75 for the recomendation.

I think I talked to Chris. Not sure though. I might hang out for a little bit. Any idea how long the install takes? I forgot to ask. I will def let you know though. My appointment is next sat at 930. Always like to meet fellow members.

I think it takes them a few hours. Chris and Roy are really cool, down to earth and build some nice cars. Cool i can wake up that early. haha did you tell him i referred you? lol
