GT500 S/C Swap on my 4.6 "DOB Manifold"

What are you using for fuel rails and injectors?

I picked up a set of GT500 injectors, and couldn't find if I need to get a set of GT500 fuel rails, or the EV14 to EV6 adapter things, to make it work with the kit.

with the gt500 injectors you can use the gt or gt500 fuel rail. the kit will come with specific standoffs for the combination your using.

Any benefit to using the GT500 rail? I mean you can pick them up pretty cheap thats why I ask. One benefit I can see is the crossover is in the rear, rather than in the middle

I'm not 100% sure but from what I've seen on the other forum, its just easier install with the GT500 rail. There's no performance difference. The gt500 crossover will be in the front

You could check the http://svtperformance.com/ forums every now and then if you haven't been there?

You can also use your stock gt rails if you want too.

There's also other sets on there that arent ford factory. Another user on the allford forums is using fore rails. He's got a clean setup.

Thanks bud, Yeah I have been trying to get my hands on fore rails for months now and can't get those either but if i can get some 500's till the fore's are available then thats what I will do. -JJ

METCO has a nice rail. Not sure about compatibility with DOB manifold.

I used the FORE rails and had to mill down the DOB alt bracket just a touch to use the EV14 injector (shorter factory gt500 injector). I also had to mill down the end of the left fuel rail and end plug just a smidgen. No biggie, but none of this would have been required had I used EV6 (stock gt lenght) injectors.

If you want some, call the guy up. He has like 5 sets laying around, and apparently he did one of the prototype installs so we talked about the kit and stuff.

Thanks for the heads up crown cause I will be using the EV14's...you should know I got them from you!! I think I will stick with the 500's powdercoated black!!

Those fore rails look sharp, definitely a future upgrade for me. Do you know if they come in blue?

I dont believe so, But you can -hydro dip, Powder coat or anodize!

Oh man. I was wondering if the 1 bid was going to be from someone else trying to do the kit.

I have a feeling in about 3-6 months used gt500 parts are going to be a bit more costly.
