GT500 wheels w/ TPMS on a 05 GT

I just picked up a set of 2007 GT500 wheels off CL, and they come with the TPMS sensors attached to the wheels by a metal band around the wheel. I know my 2005 GT doesn't have the sensor or need it.

My questions is, Are the sensors plugging some hole underneath them i cant see?

I would like to just cut the bands and sell the sensors if possible. Just wasn't sure if the sensors still need to be there, even though the car doesn't need them.
