T piece? You aren't talking about the eye bolt?

If you're talking about the stud that sticks out the end of the support brace then it's part of the brace.

It slides in, shaped like a "t" and is bent a little a certain way. And its a piece that you can put a lock on too. I cannot find a picture of it anywhere to save my life.

It's not a factory piece, nor is it necessary. There is a recess for the bolt and as long as the bolt is snug it cannot slip out. What you're trying to find is some sort of aftermarket lock. I've owned several Ford pickups with that type of setup and have never seen the piece you're looking for.

I've seen it on many, including mine. It's for a customer. where it come through the hole in the bottom, you can put a lock on it. The truck it's for is pristine and supposedly we lost it .

Yup, Skwerl nailed it. It's an aftermarket accessory spare tire lock. Not an OEM part.

It's possible that Ford may have sold them way back in the day but I don't recall ever seeing one in my 25 years with Ford and that includes my years working out in the shop before I switched to parts. Used to sell a ton of that spare tire hanger stuff though.
