So this morning I went to the gas station to fill up. Apparently the cover where they fill the tanks was too high for my car and it hit where my midpipe meets my ota pipes. It ripped the pipes off and bent it up like a pretzel. If anybody has some ota pipes, let me know. I want to make it to the drag strip this weekend, so the sooner the better.

Im trying to save a buck and see if somebody has a set they would let go of first. Plus I have heard bad things about the fitment of the Pypes OTA pipes. Thanks though.

Yup! I just figured if it comes down to the wire, you can get a set of those. IIRC, stock otas from the dealer are around $100.

There's a high fuel tank cover at the Sunoco where I buy race fuel. I scraped it once and have avoided it ever since. And it's right in front of the race fuel pump island as well.

Damn. I thought my car was low. Would it be cheaper to just to an exhaust shop and get them to make you some pipes?

I doubt it, and I wouldnt trust their fitment over OEM. I looked up the cost from Tousley and it is like $116 MSRP, So if I dont find a deal by Tuesday, I may end up just going to my local dealer.

I have some but they have cherry bombs welded on to the straight portion. You could have them for free if you want. You could probably cut the cherry bombs off and just get a length of pipe and clamp/weld it on.

I always wondered what would happen in such a scenario. I guess I know now! I am glad nothing else got fucked up
