I was talking with a buddy about buying a set of Mickey's 26x11.5R17's for my 17x8 extra set of OEM rims. He said I shouldn't run a slick with a radial up front. Is it that scarey going down the track on radial/slick combo? I'm not quite ready for a big investment in drag wheels/tires, but I'd rather not spend the money on a DR. I just want to ramp the rpm's up to 6k and drop the hammer and stick damnit lol.

Thoughts/experiences on the matter?

It's just fine at the track. I've done 100's of passes in my fox without incident.

I also ordered the M/T E.T streets 26.5x11.5x17 for my other set of 17x8 rims, so I will have two sets of drag radials M&H 275x50x17 and the M/T E.T streets.

You mean DR's and slicks? Or 2 sets of slicks? I bought the street car class approved version of the E/T Drag slicks.

That's what I meant. The M&H are drag radials and I got the M/T E.T street. The DOT approved slick.

Let me know the differences! Should be interesting to see the E/T and 60' results!

I do it all the time. The car will feel like it's "floating" on the big end, you get use to it though.
