How do you protect from scraping the driveway?

To make a long story short I saw these curb ramps in front of someone's driveway and I thought it seemed like a good product.

Does anyone have experience with them?
It seems like they'd look better than using plywood planks.

Here in Brisbane you can actually get out the city council I'm pretty sure to put in a little concrete lip/ramp for your driveway...

Not sure if you have something similar over there?

5 bucks says someone will steel them the first time you forget to take them in!

I have a slopped driveway into my garage. I have to take it real slow and slightly off on an angle or I will scrape my spoiler.... just barely brushes the pavement but it is enough that there is no point in getting it painted.

I scrape only slightly with my stock '10 GT - but it's just enough to make me think twice before lowering it. I might just invest in one of these.

my garage is on an incline. i scrape the frame on the lip of the garage foundation every day pulling out of the garage.

i balance myself on the gas and give it some juice when i pull in, the front lifts off just enough to clear LOL

Even with those, you may still scrape your nose. They won't push the nose up until the tires hit them, I'd have some one slowly drive the car in and see if it scrapes before the tires get to that point in the entrance. If you scrape and the tires are still a foot from hitting the lip, those things won't help yah.

Good point.
Fortunately, I only scrape when I'm coming out of the driveway. I have no problems coming in. I think they should help.

I'd buy some concrete and fix my driveway, not ask permission from the city or anyone else, and feel good about myself.

I wish I could pour some cement down in front of my apartment complex. It's not so bad driving in, but leaving it scrapes every time. I've learned to angler her out to help with the 'crunch' a little bit, lol.

go to HD and buy some cement/sand/stone and a 6 pack. take you half a day to fix your problem, permanently.

You could always pay an illeagal a 20 to do it for ya too.

Or buy a piece of timber in the gap, if you're not worried about the looks.
