Just picked this little number up. Traded a C5 for it.
2006 GT. 54000 miles. Has a Vortech H.O. aftercooled S-trim on it. Stock everything else. 4.10 gears. Auto trans. Magnaflow exhaust. 39lb injectors, unknown fuel pump. Eibach springs
I dislike the wheels very much and they totally don't fit the car...they are 18x9 with a +12mm offset. I have ordered replacements already (big surprise).
Hit the track today. Was happy with running multiple 12.1s at 116mph...seems pretty good for having not much done to it.

Welcome back. Gonna go turbo again? :) Still have the 2v?

Thanks. 2v was a few cars ago. After that I had a c5, then a Coyote, then another c5, now this.

Yes, probably turbo kit over the winter. On3 most likely. I may hit you up for some fuel pump stuff. I'd like to run it on corn, maybe in the 450-475rwhp range. It's at around 415rwhp now on pump gas.

See, this man knows what's up...traded a Vette for a Stang!

Upgrade!

Hah, yeah sort of I guess. I've always been a Vette guy ever since I was a wee lad. I've had four C5s and I think 12 or 13 Mustangs now. The Mustangs just end up being more practical, obviously. Fuel economy isn't as good though. The corvettes have developed such a stigma because of certain owner types that I feel a bit douchey driving one, especially a convertible. The Viagra and golf club jokes go on and on...

Not gonna lie, even though I am a die hard Ford/Mustang guy, I'd rock a Vette. I have actually been online the last few days pricing used C6 Z06's. LOL

Like you said though, I'm not sure how I would feel about driving one, based on stereotypes and stuff. The same reason I will NEVER own a BMW, even though I'd love an E46 M3.

That car would look great with some anthracite colored wheels

Funny you should mention that, onesillyracer! LOL.

I bought new wheels to replace the ones that came on it, which were not exactly my style.
I generally like the Bullitt/Torque-thrust type wheels, especially on the 05-09 body, but the factory ones are too small and the offsets and lip are boring.
I found these B&G Rod Works 'Old School' wheels which have a more traditional pointed spoke instead of the more common rounded spoke, and the 18x9 sizing and +35mm offset fit 'just right' IMO, sitting just inside the fenders with the 255/45 tires I have now. A 285/40 tire would look better / more badass in the back but I'm using the tires that came on the car for now. Also the center caps that come with these are very 'pointy' shaped which I thought would be OK but IMO look really bad on my car. So for now I just reversed them. I'm going to find or make some flat ones.
So this is how it looks today. I want to get a GT500-style spoiler and the blackout rear decklid panel for it too ASAP. I'd also like to cut a coil off the rear Eibach springs to level it out a little bit.

Couple minor changes.
Classic machined aluminum flat center caps, specifically made for these B&G wheels by Dashman's Speed Shop (www.dashman.net).
Rear spoiler removed.
Matte black rear decklid panel, courtesy of Plasti-Dip.
Matte black front grill pony emblem (yep, Plast-Dip again...).
Going for the classic clean and simple look with this one. Now I just have to lower the rear to level it out a bit.
Few updated pics. Not as good as the other set but they'll do for now.
