Guess those tires really were at the end of their life.

So, I decided to move down from 19's to 18's. Just don't feel like paying for the cost of 19" tires and the roads around here are so bad there is no way I can run on 20's. Back to 18's. Going to hard to take getting used too. I think lowering it further will make a difference and as luck would have it I have a set of Eibach Sportlines so a nice 1.6"/2" drop should look nice with this setup. The 18's and black sure give the car a different look.

Wheels/Tires:
Front - 18x8.5 with 245/45-18
Rear - 18x9.5 with 275/40-18

Part of me wonders about going down to a 40 profile up front. Maybe a 255/40-18. I'd like to do a 285/40-18 in back but with the offset I don't think I'll be able to squeeze the wheels into the wheel well properly if I lower it any further. It seems like the car needs a little 'rake' to it.

The car looks great but honestly I like the 19" better. Either way looks great though.

Looks good man, I have the same issue I drive on horrible roads and getting some nice rims that would get destroyed in a month definitely isn't worth it.
I want new rims too :(

Yeah, who knows. These wheels may not be the long term solution. Will be awhile though. Girlfriend was already making fun of me the other day asking how many I've had on here since she's known me (which is three different combinations in two years).

I can one up you there... I've had 4 different CARS since I met my gf in January last year. 99 Cobra, 96 Mystic, 05 F150, now this. In my defense, it's all been in the last 5 months and I had my 99 for two years.

The wheels look better from different angles. One of my reasons for going with the used tires is that I'm not confined to sticking with the tire sizes for a longer period of time. I'm really thinking I might go down to a 255/40 up front. Just concerned because that ends up being a bit undersized for our cars. I had talked to this guy at cars and coffee a few weeks ago and he's running 275/40-18's and 245/40-18's. Granted, he doesn't quite have as much wheel well to fill up but his setup with these wheels looked great on his car.

I feel like this would be so much easier if Ford gave us a wider body so that we could run a more aggressive offset. Based on the 2015 spy pics that isn't changing.

I think it looks great, and I think it would even better with a rake if you can get it!

Finally mounted, looks great!

Need better pictures though. Black wheels are sometimes difficult to show.

Yeah, washed it yesterday morning with the hopes of taking some photos downtown but of course it ended up raining and expected too continue for the next two days.

The black ones are a nice looking wheel but there's something about those silver SVEs that grab me. Hope that you didn't sell them.

Haha. Well, technically I still have the Drifts. Listed them on craigslist and some guy responded in half an hour. He'll be picking them up any day now.

Nice pics. Problem is you probably could have gotten at least another 3/10 of a mile out of them! LOL!

Damn, I should have kept driving on them. Discovered a nail in one of them when I took them off.

I like the new wheels bud! For looks, it's hard to beat 19's or 20's, but for a DD, 18's are definitely the way to go. I went from 20's back to 18's, and even though I like the look of 20's better, I'd never go back. The ride and handling are so much better on the 18's.

Thanks. Yeah, it's tough. I'd love 20's. 19's weren't too bad when I was using 2010 GT premium stock wheels/tires. That was because they were narrow enough to still give a good ride. The 18's are growing on me. It's definitely a different look with the combination of black and 18's. I think I'll be a lot happier once it's lowered further. Just hope I don't regret the ride once it's lowered.

That's nothing! I had 3 different combinations in 2 weeks. Hahahahah. Car looks good! 20's would have looked much better!
