Is this normal? Steeda cai

I have had my steeda cai for about 16months. My car has been idling a little rough the last few days. Today I opened the hood and found this.

It looks like the hose clamp cut through the intake tube.

I torqued everything down as the installation instructions specified. I've had many modded cars and never had this problem before. Sucks that I have to buy a replacement part already for an intake that is just over a year old. I thought steeda had higher quality parts than this cheap plastic.
