Today at Brenspeed it is -7 degrees outside with the wind chill!! It may be freezing outside, but that doesn’t stop Brent from heating things up in the dyno cell! Over the last couple of days we have had some awesome 3-valve cars in for some Brenspeed B302/TVS H.O. packages that can be custom built for your power goals while keeping within your budget!

One was a 2007 Shelby GT that came in a year ago for one of our Brenspeed B302 engines and one of the last Saleen Super Shaker stage 3 kits we had on the shelf. He was very happy with that set up, but like all of us wanted a little more power and knew the shaker set up was not going to cut it. He decided to switch over to the Brenspeed 560r kit with the Roush TVS 2300 blower and run our Brenspeed engineered 2.75 Spine pulley. Since he had the built motor we went ahead and added a Innovators West 10% over drive crank pulley, Comp Cam 127-350 camshafts with springs, Long Tube Headers, other mods like a drive shaft, 6 spd conversion and a few others. You’ll see the results in this video below! Really nice numbers…


This 2008 California Special came up last summer completely stock and had the Brenspeed 560r kit installed with our Detroit Rocker Camshafts (no springs required). Over the winter he swapped out his low mile block to our B302 and dropped to the 2.75 pulley! He brought his car up here on Friday and we tuned it with the 10% over drive crank pulley. This car has the stock 5 speed transmission right now with plans to upgrade it down the road. These cars were almost identical with mods and you will see how different two cars can vary even when they have almost the same set up! So don’t get all hung up on a dyno number…these cars making this kind of torque will cut an E.T. like you wouldn’t believe. (with proper traction and driver of course…you can do it Don and JW)




While we obtained a ton of Data over the last week here at Brenspeed, there will be a few other nice builds involving these two set-ups with FRPP high flow heads with the engine being a B326 coming out real soon! We are all excited to see what the gains will be after adding these heads coupled with the B326, so you will definitley want to stay tuned!!! Update on Goldmember (because Miles is writing this post haha). We added Detroit Rockers a month ago and are going to be doing the 10% overdrive on its B326 very soon. We will be spraying the dyno cell with gold dust dialing in the automatic for race season and posting results when time permits!

***PLEASE remember, no matter how exact these cars may be set up, even from ford there is a 5% variance. Even the same car would change its own number 10-20 throughout the day and when you get into the higher numbers 5% gets to be a lot! There are probably more variables that go into a dyno number than a day at the race track!***

Would have liked to have seen the 2009 dyno video after the TVS and DRs but before the 302. Yes getting anxious to get my car down there. Maybe in a few weeks you can post my car on the dyno?
