Ah so they offer the same wheel in two offsets for the same car depending on whether it's cast or forged? That's weird.

What I'm thinking about doing is shopping for 285/40/18's and just purchasing 2 at first. At the very worst I could run those on the back and if they don't clear the front I'll either look at 275's or at least see how big a spacer I would need to run to clear the strut.

yes they are different.

Here's an idea you can do real easy to buy more room.

Buy the new Ford bolts to put the strut on the spindle if yours are NOT fine threaded. (YOu can torque them to 166ft.lb.s)

Then take a carbide bit dremol and slot the top strut hole to the outside so the spindle will move outwards. Then if you can not get enough camber to compensate it, slot the holes up top or get a caster camber kit. With a very little bit of dremmel work on that top bolt hole (make it a slot) you can get a large amount of movement. I did this for a guy a few years ago.

How much camber are you running?

Running a decent amount of camber via bolts moves the wheel closer to the strut

You may have missed the amount of clearance he has to that strut. It is very small maybe actually too small! I think his tire will rub it. I suggested he gain clearance and then do caster camber plates based off of his picture.
I am ASSUMING he wants zero to a bit negative camber. That's why I believe he has hit a wall on any more neg. from the spindle/strut location.

Well I was thinking I could get away with running say....2mm spacers on the front. Right now I'm not using camber plates or bolts. My drop is only about 1.5", So i'm not too worried about correcting the mild amount of camber I do have. I'm going to just purchase two 285/40/18's tomorrow and get them mounted to see how they fit the front. If they don't clear at the very worst I'll run those tires on the back. I'll at least see how big of spacers I would need (if any) and if I can clear the strut without having the wheel/tire poke way outside the fender.

Ordered tires today. After reviewing lots and lots of pictures of different tire sizes on 18x10's. I ordered 275/40's for the fronts. I'll probably be ordering the rears shortly, just want to see how the fronts look as I didn't want to run a staggered tire setup. However I'll probably end up running a 285/40 on the rear.

Update...Just received the "fronts", I hope to have these tires mounted this weekend if all goes as planned. The sidewall seems to be about half an inch less when compared to the stock 235/50/18's. I guess I'll just have to see how it looks on the car.

I wanna see how these fit on the front hurry up man

Okay, well I got the tires on and the wheels mounted today. They clear, no spacer needed. I'll probably be doing 285/40 in the rear, I want a little taller tire so that I don't have to drop the rear as much.

Notice the weak size/offset of the stock wheels on the rear of the car.

Thanks.

I want to get sportlines (I currently have vogland springs) SOCH 46 has these on his car with 265/35/18's in the front and 285/35/18's in the rear. I think the difference in sidewall height will mean little to now wheelgap on my car.

That looks so beasty! I'm really thinking about the same set up for my car, but I might just do 18x9s in the front.

Can't wait to see it all done! And you're car is overall NASTY, man!

Sportlines really drop the car, I ran H&R supersports and the drop was insane. I cant have my car that low around here, too many potholes and bullshit on the roads.
