I am looking for ideas for my shift knob and boot.
I planning on performing a knob job soon but I do not know in what direction to go. At this point I am not sure if I would like a longer sleek feel or the short blunt stubby feel.

If so, we have the same dusty console :roflmao:

for sure. although i did notice two differences, the shift boot. I have a 6 speed ball for the TR6060 and I put in a redlinegoods leather one haha. if it wasn't for that, id say you stole my car lol

Mine is very quiet. But I did take a few steps to minimize potential NVH by making up an isolator that goes between the shifter handle and mounting shaft using some 1/8 in. red plumbing mat. I also just used the front OEM rubber bushing instead of the poly one.

But then again, I rarely drive my car with top up, so most noises would not be that prevalent!

Cool thing about the Pro 5.0 is you can do just about whatever you want. Mines a little less conventional but is extremely comfortable, and with the leverage awesome to shift. All the local guys were skeptic until they felt it for themselves! Say good bye to the front cup holder for anything more than a cell phone though.

I modified a little retainer I picked up to keep noise and the boot down on the bottom of the arm:

Redline boot, chrome bezel painted to match exterior color, UPR knob sitting on stock shifter.

Have a Pro 5.0 just waiting it to come out of long winters nap!

Would the hurst handle/knob work with a mgw shifter?

Unfortunately no. I do wish someone would make some type of adapter for the MGW's to install sticks like this as that would be the ideal set-up.
