Since the M/T E.T streets (26.5x11.5x17) are shorter than the M&H (275x50x17) would they be better for the 1/8 but the M&H be ideal for the 1/4 since I am able to trap in 3rd gear at 6500 RPMs?

My actual use of both those exact tires on the same track on the same day was this. The MTs heated quicker and with the shorter sidewall much more stable at the big end.

I just really hope the M/T's stick like a mofo. I'm really tired of seeing 2.xxx 60' times!

you should have no problem with the MTs. I only heated mine up for a couple of seconds and i got 1.8 60fts for my first time at the track. Traction was not a problem, just timing my foot was......

I ordered the M/T so I will use those for a while. I am impressed with the M&H. I usually cut 1.8XXX with them but I have cut a few 1.7XXX. I may just alterante the tires every few track events.

I ran the M/T 26.5x11.5x17 for the first time at the strip. They do take some getting use to as they do feel like they are floating. These tires hook but they are not any better or any worse than M&H racemasters. With the D/A being equal both tires give me nearly identical 60', 1/8mile and E.T
