lol. my bad, idk how I even came across it. haha, I think I was searching the other night for something and ended up chiming in on something forgetting it was a search and not realizing how old the thread is haha I never look at the date. I just reply to shit

Thats what I have, Makita Rotary. I purchased the 3M eggcrate foam pad at the local auto-paint store for some recent polishing and it did absolute wonders.

I too have dabbled in car painting, so I know how to use a rotary. Its not hard, just don't get the surface too hot and don't use cheap polishes and wax that cakes at high speeds, and you'll be fine. Start with low speeds and you'll figure out the feel of them. Keep it flat!

To be honest, I'm leaning towards the Makita...
