Ok, so I know the manual says not to mount the manifold upside down in order to prevent water from settling in "areas sensitive to freezing". I don't drive the car in the winter at all and it's garaged all winter. So does not mounting upside down still apply, are there any other adverse affects?

i would avoid it just for the fact that water sitting in there may mess with the actual solenoids. but if you have water traps in between the compressor and tank, and tank and manifold, i wouldnt worry too much about water

Someone mounted their compressor and valve block hanging from the area behind the seats with some threaded rods to keep them upright
