That is a cool looking road course.

Whenever I see a bunch of green trees like that I always think of Montana also, visit my family up there 2 times a year.

It's normal. Due to the 5 stage drysump pump, the crankcase has around 16 inches of vacuum. There is a check valve under that breather. Before the check valve closes, the filter sucks down.

It's a neat 2.25 mile track with a 1/2 mile front straight. It opened for business in 1960 and hasn't changed much. It's fairly rough in areas and the grip isn't great. But from a nostagia standpoint, it's a cool facility and the management is great. Nascar road raced on it back when Richard Petty was king. Last year I would go through turn 10 at 135 and turn 1 at 170. The down hill photos were taken between 3a and 3b which are 35-40 mph turns.

It makes peak power at 8400 and I touched the 8800 rev limiter a few times. At 8400, it makes 817hp at the flywheel and at 9,000, it's still making a 804hp.

I have to admit that it's a little unnerving keeping the tach needle between 7500 and 8,800 RPM's. As hard as it pulls in the upper RPM's, it's a slug down low. At 4,000 RPMs, it only makes 280whp.

haha, im sure the first time you had it revved that high you were clenching, hoping all the bolts were torqued correctly and didnt miss something

I had a little tension when I did the first full pull on the dyno. When I saw the tach hit about 6800, I automatically wanted to lift. I had to tell myself to keep the pedal down and let it sing.
