He was happy with time, but disappointed he couldn't have any more attempts to lower his 60ft and get a 9 sec slip... main thing i learned from today is I need to get back into a stang.

I know who you are, congrats!
thanks!

it was a bit confusing with 3+ forums/clubs represented today. I walked the pits a couple of times, but didn't want to interrupt folks as they were getting their car(s) ready.

I saw one guy with an S197forum shirt, and a few cars I recognized from their avatars - otherwise I was clueless :dunce:

Don't you guys get together before or after the track?

We do a few drinks the night before and then Hooters right after the track.

Next Friday

The weather this year didn't seem nearly as good for performance as last year, but it was much nicer for hanging out.
I managed to get my convertible into the 12s, but it took a bunch of tries- several 13.0s. Best on the Hankooks was 12.92 @ 106. On a set of borrowed M/T slicks (thanks Brian!) it went 0.004 faster despite losing 45-50 lbs of rotating weight, so it would seem I'm mostly gearing/motor/weight limited. I did have 2 degrees more advance in the timing on the best pass on the Hankooks. The car was 3870 with me in it at the start of the day, 3845 at the end after 13 passes.
