Never go even on a trade. At least pull for 1k to cover drive out cost. (TTL)

I got a '13 Base Automatic GT with 22k miles. The trade-in value seems to be around $24k and I owe $24k. The dealer can't commit to a trade-in until i get closer to the sale when/if the car arrives... in mid september.

OP, Im probably getting a similar setup.

At first I wanted a Premium pretty loaded up with 20s.

But, since I want a good 1/4 mile car I think Im going with
Base GT
355
Racaros
Auto

and a Whipple 2.9 kit.

I want the car as soon as it comes out, but I want to save up for the blower now so I can install it within the first 6 months. So I wont get the car until sometime in 15.

because the auto does not come with 3.31's... it comes with 3.15... (that's why)

I keep on forgetting that everyone puts 3.31s in their cars. The 3.15s with a 28" tall tire will work pretty well. IIRC KDanner was still using the 3.15s and the 28" tire before he started building his car.

That's awesome. Did they say when you can expect delivery?

I would pass and wait for them to hit the dealers. Word on the street is they are going to be a hard sell. HP is no where near what some folks think. Dealers are stating HP at 440 for GT plus a 235 weight gain. My local dealer was at a Ford dealer meeting last week and have told all his sales person to share the HP rating if ask by customer. Of course this is all 2nd hand info.

Seriously?

Word from my rep is that he is overwhelmed with orders on them....lol

People are ordering these cars by the masses.

And, that 435hp is on the conservative side. With the upgrades they did, expect more in the range of 470-480hp with a few tweaks.

2017 will roll around, and Ford will suddenly bump the rating to 455 HP....just from adding a degree of timing and revising the intake.
