A few months ago the motor in my TA suffered complete destruction. It was a 355ci lt1, stock crank, stock rods, kb pistons, 11.3:1 compression, afr 180cc heads, comp 306 cam, 1.7i/1.6e scorpion rockers (.578/.576 lift), ported edelbrock intake, 30lb frpp injectors, and 58mm tb. I was planning on starting from scratch and building a 383 but I was having problems finding a good block. Untill I found an already built 383 on eBay. Here's the specs on the new motor.

AFR 1057 210cc LT4 STREET HEADS W/56cc CHAMBERS, PORTED AND POLISHED BY LLOYD ELLIOT $1900 + PORT AND POLISH $500

K-MOTION K-1100 VALVE SPRINGS $130

JESEL KSS-336060 SHAFT MOUNTED 1.6 ROLLER ROCKERS $950

COMP-CAMS SOLID LIFT ROLLER CAMSHAFT .639 INT .646 EXH , 254/270 DURATION, 105.5 LOBE SEPERATION $350

COMP-CAMS SOLID ROLLER LIFTERS $750

MOROSO OIL PAN W/MOROSO OIL BAFFLE $125

COMP CAMS 5/16 MAGNUM PUSHRODS $100 CSR ELECTRIC WATER PUMP $180

PIONEER 872044/872015 BALANCER AND PULLEY $175

MSD 84811 95-97 LT1 DISTRIBUTOR CAP AND ROTOR, MSD IGNITION COIL $175

EDELBROCK VICTOR EFI CUSTOM INTAKE, EDELBROCK BILLET FUEL RAILS $500

DELPHI 32LB INJECTORS BY RACETRONIX $200

SCAT SFI APPROVED 153 TOOTH FLYWHEEL $45

HAMBURGER STARTER $150

THIS IS ALL WELL OVER $7,000.00 WORTH OF PARTS I paid $3000 for it and plan on having it back on the road soon. Oh my goals for this car is 10's n/a.

Sorry no mullet. If it was a camaro I would have to have a mullet or the car wouldn't start. Camaro's know if the driver is rocking a mullet or not and refuses to do anything were as Trans Am's could just care less. Lol oh and in case you didn't notice I was asked to show pics.

Hey - my other toy is a 1998 Camaro Z28 and I don't have a mullet. :thumb2: But I will admit that I did back in the day when I had my 1979 Z28. My Camaro is NA with the below done to it:

1998 Z28 - SLP Cold Air Kit w/ Lid & Smooth Bellows, SLP MAF, TFS 215 Heads, Rapid Dominator 2 Cam, Ported FAST 90 w/ NW90 TB, UD Pulley, HS Roller Rockers, SVO 30lb FI, 160 T-Stat, Rapid Motorsports Tune, LS7 Clutch, 4.10 S60 rear, ARH Headers w/ Catted Y-Pipe & Magnaflow Catback, SLP Eibach Springs, Koni 4/4, S&W Frame Connectors, LCA, & Panhard Bar, Spohn Front & Rear Sway Bars, Torque Arm w/ Loop, Strut Brace, & Poly Motor Mounts. 476 RWHP/430 RWTQ

BTW - Nice TA - I like it and that should be a good build.

Attached - sorry no action shots. I still haven't made it to the track since doing all of the work to it over the course of 3 years with the strange s60 rear installed in last year. The stock rebuilt rear just barely made it off the dyno tune and let me cruise around town for about 500 easy miles. After the rear was installed I tore my achilles tendon and fractured my foot which is still healing after a year so no clutch for me. Once spring is around both the car and I should be ready.

Got the motor in the garage! Now to start putting it in the car and shoot for the moon! Well at least to squeeze out some 10's.
