Whats the best way to run N20 on a saleen blower? Direct (seems a bit of a pain in the ass, intake or plate? Any success so far?

I think the simplest way is either the NX plate system but you have to modify the plenum of the supercharger for it to fit or to run a nozzle right in the intake tube infront of the throttle body. Whatever you spray through the blower is going to make more power than the jets because of the supercharger.

So maybe a direct port isnt best with the amount of work. I'll take alook at the zex plate and I have a spare plenum for the SC so I am ok if I fuck it up, but Im assuming just the center dividing section needs to come out

If your running breathers...

You don't need to run the nozzle in front of
the TB,but of course its the normal way too.
I did back in the day. I'm planning on moving
the nozzle over to one of the vacant spots
that were connected to the valve covers on
the upper.just a thought for you to consider.

That eliminates any chance of puddling in
front of the TB. Not that it would for you.
If it didn't for me with the WMS and only
~3in from the TB to the nozzle, then it fine.

That I hadnt even thought of, If you do get it set up I would like to see some shots. Im glad you got the WMS running on there, I really wanted to do that but read that everyone was having problems getting them to work with tunning. I just didnt want to tap a hole in each runner for a direct port if there was a simpler way with success and avoided puddling

Im a few months away from completing, but I also have
a mock engine set-up in my living room with the saleen
sitting up top. I'll probably mess with that real soon.

As for the tuning,I feel most are more intimidated than
anything else. When MM&FF tested all the intakes last
year or two ago..the WMS shined IMO.They didn't do
what I did to perfect it,but hey,we all cant be the same lol.

The tuning wasnt much of an issue. It went to JDM right
when the WMS was still new.I was on the waiting list for
the first dozen, and I also run the 95mm MAF which will
require custom tuning. The WMS 80mm MAF didnt,as JDM
tested back in late 2005 with mine.A few little things to
make it better at displacing engine heat is all it needs.
I do run the mafia with the MAF,to help extend the range.
Some tuners dont like them "band aids" add-ons.
For me,I was set on keeping the WMS..until the shaker :evillaugh:

In the winter,my MAF is always at or below ambient temps
and thats checked with a micro-temp infrared thermometer.
It breathes nothing but outside air, saleen loves it!

Its the only true CAI kit on the market today...PERIOD
There is nothing "cold intake" about the OEM location.

What we have now is nothing more than a flood of "CAI's"
that were rushed to "get something" out there for us who
have to have new parts now,as of yesterday...lol :beerchug2:

If you really want to hide it, you can pull the blower off tap the nozzle in behind it right by the fire wall and no one will know that you are spraying. It will still be tapped in the vacumn part of the blower so watch how much you spray, cause you will still be compressing nitrous. I would run a dry shot and add the fuel through the tune. Have 2 seperate tunes, one for the nitrous pulling timing and adding fuel and a regular tune.

Excellent point!

I'm hoping the shaker kit and the shorter inlet
will also help with the stealthness of the system.
Only thing I need is,alittle room to change jets
if need be. But..Im very fond of the 75 shot on
the saleen and havent touched it in two years.

Excellent idea about running it underneath, when I pop the blower off, I may just do that

That is the way I was gonna do it, till we ported the blower. Next year we are going to do twins so I think im gonna pass on the nitrous. Unless it falls through with the turbos which I doubt.

Did you see good gains from porting the blower? I had originally thought of adding small twins but Im pretty sure that would be a tuning nightmare
