Thanks for the explanation. I had a lot of coil over parts left over from my circle track days but didnt know how they were adapting them.

Today I took my new rear spring perches apart and installed them the right way, while also adjusting them up a tiny bit more, so the right rear measurement from the ground to the top of the wheel opening is 29", left rear almost a half inch more, but the driver side has always been higher ... I'll adjust it down in a few more days, bring it down a 1/4" or so.

Tried re-installing the rubber seat and it wouldn't fully go on:

And the springs wouldn't fit properly, they wouldn't sit down onto the spring's seat:

So now without the rubber thing the springs fit perfectly onto the seat:

Nice post. I have been considering doing something like this.

What length and rate springs did you buy?

Thanks.
I called up and ordered the adjustable spring perches with the coilover springs they sell for them.
On Steeda's site they offer 175 and 200-lb spring options, over the phone supposedly they only offer the 200, so those are the ones I went with.
Not too firm at all, just a bit more than the 175-lb Steeda Sport springs that were on the rear before, but certainly not overly stiff.

Took a couple more pics today ... the rear is about a half inch higher now than it used to, but almost doesn't look it.
As it turns out, I love the rake.

I believe they are 10" tall springs.

I'm guessing that the picture with the tape measure is at the height you needed? So, am I right in guessing that these perches would also allow you to go lower than the Sport springs were sitting at?

I'm trying to find something that will go lower than my current springs (1.25"..same as yours), but then be able to jacked up for possible drag radial use.

Btw, I also have 20x10 Niche Targa +40 with 305, but don't want to clog up the thread..lol

Yeah I think they're 10" tall.
The perch collar will definitely go down about another inch, and with a narrower/shorter tire you can have the car down quite a bit more.
If I end up switching to a 285 or 295-wide tire, I'm pretty sure I'll bring it down a bit more, but for now I'm good with the way it's sitting.

Thanks. I think this will work for me, I hope. I'm going for 175lb springs.

I just switched to a 19x10 +45 with a 285 rear.

Yeah a 10"-wide wheel with 45mm offset should tuck in just fine with a 285 tire, as long as the axle is centered.

Yea, it looks better.

Can you double check the spring length or part number for me?

Just measured the Steeda Sport springs that I took out, they're 12" tall.

Going by this pic, that kinda makes the coilover spring right about 10" tall:

When I was talking with Steeda before the purchase, they said the part #'s I'm looking at are:
- perches: 555-8132
- springs: 223-10B0200, 2 of them. The 200 at the end of the part # I'm assuming is the spring rate, and the "10" before the "B" must be the height

RIP - You will be missed
Hyperco's part numbering is pretty straightforward (except for that "18" that begins it all in Gabe's picture - thanks, Gabe, for showing the part number so clearly).

http://www.hypercoils.com/hyperco-catalog#page=12

The next two characters (10) is the free length
The "B" means 2.5" ID
The "0200" after that is the rate in lb/in, four characters long because springs in some of Hyperco's other categories are stiffer than 999 lb/in (and it's nice to find a single part number format that can fit all of the rates)
