No shit. I mean lets get real here. If they were going to blatantly rip off Peter's idea, the least they could have done was improve the design and put some steel plates or something in the ratchet hole so it doesn't round out like the Thump tensioner does.

My bet is they did know, probably knew before they ever saw one, and there are a lot of back door political economics involved.


The only "good" thing about this tensioner being released is the price. I suggest anyone holding out because of the costs of the Thump better hurry up and buy one before sale/distribution of them gets halted. And if you want to save even more money, check out ebay. UPR sells them there slightly cheaper.
