Thanks!

What cams do you have? I would love to have a 11.9 time slip one day. Also, so I can rub it on my buddies face, lol. He has a cammed ls2 c6 vette, since that's his best time so far.

nice formula- but may want to add for the readers that final gear ratio is the rear gear x the trans gear ratio if it is other than 1:1 - example 3rd gear on a 6r80 is 1.52 so final gear ratio is 3.15x1.52=4.79. pretty accurate formula right on the money for my trap rpms.
you kids and your dang 6r80's, lol!

Using the formula above it looks like I trap around 5500 RPM's.
time for 4.56's

lol, I just try a bunch of stuff and see what sticks - you're the one who's dipped into the 11's already

4.56's, uh. Is that what u have? How are they driving on the freeway? I was actually considering 4.30s.

had 4.56's installed a few weeks ago - they're awesome

I tach 2500rpm at 65mph on the highway with my 26" drag tires on, zero noise. My last two track visits I averaged 26+ mpg on the drive to/from the track (6.x mpg while making passes).

I cross the stripe at 6400rpm now

FWIW 4.56 is a nice gear for normal driving. On the highway it's not bad at all. 4.56 x .68 (5th gear ratio) = 3.10. In 5th gear you are effectively running a 3.10 final drive ratio.

I've run 4.56 before and really like them with an na setup. The only reason I'm currently running 4.10 is because I keep changing from forced induction to na and back.

Interesting. I'll definitely keep that in mind. I'm gonna see how far the 4.10s take me and if I'm not satisfied, 4.56s it is!
