First pass when I got to the track was a 12.742 @ 106. A new personal best. I came around and got back in line. I backed it up with a 12.746 @ 106. I'm a bracket racer, so this was awesome for me. My previous goal was to 60' better than 1.800. My first pass was a 1.79 and so was the second pass.

I decided to let the car cool down. I haven't messed with anything in my race tune since I got the last revision. The tune has the car shift at 6k RPM every gear. I decided I wanted to try to have it shift later to get me in the better part of the power band sooner. I added 3mph to the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts and 4mph to the 3-4 shift. After at least an hour-I didn't keep track-I made another pass with the car completely cooled down. I touched the intake plenums and they were cold.

I do my burnout, everything is good. I stage, bring it up on the converter to around ~1700 (my front tires slide anything above 1800-1900). I leave, cut a .036 light which is good being that I aim to be between .020 and .040 off the foot brake every pass. I see the 60' come up on the board, 1.75, and think uh-oh. This might be it. The car is shifting higher and when it hits the next gear it feels stronger than it ever has. Could be the air, could be the changes I made. I finish the pass and come around. I get the slip and see I ran a [email protected]! Holy crap!! I was screaming! I ran my best 1/8 as well, obviously, but it was a [email protected]. On the first pass I went [email protected]. My best 1/8 previous was 8.16. The 1/8 matters because every other points race is 1/8 mile, so I have to watch both. I prefer 1/8 mile because my car is more consistent in the 1/8 being that it's slower.

So that's my story. I'm pretty stoked to have run that number.

Dragtimes.com has the DA at 732ft. I'm in West Palm Beach, FL and I ran at PBIR. Air temp was 72* and relative humidity was 46%.

For the mods that I have I couldn't be happier. I wouldn't have made the choices I made if this forum wasn't here with its wealth of knowledgeable members who share their experiences. Thanks for all of the help!:thumb2:

Here's the slip, I'm in the left lane.

Very nice times for your mods. My car will be 2-3 tenths faster when cool.

I too am a bracket racer and therefore never get to run my car cool. I always let it warm up to 190`in the staging lanes.

Well done! Talk about consistent times, too. It doesn't get much better than within .004 of a second for bracket racing!

Congrats!
