I am quite excited about a car I found for sale on ebay. Although we still have our 2005 4.0L/auto vert for the wife to drive, I've bounced around from car to car lately. My top project car is a 1985 SSP Mustang that patrolled the streets and highways of California for the CHP.

Along those lines, I purchased a 2006 Mustang GT that was used by a city department for Traffic Enforcement. The car has just under 39K miles, never used during the winter, and I bought it for a great price. The details are still being finalized, but the deal is done and payment has been sent. I plan to fly out in the next couple of weeks, have a friend pick me up at the airport, take me to get my new car, and drive home. Hopefully the pictures will attach to this post, which show how the car looked while in-service. The last picture shows the car with the markings removed.

I love you too!

The seat does have a small tear in it, so they have that cruddy cover on the seat which was destroyed by the officer's duty-belt. I figure I can find a new skin or seat fairly cheaply. In terms of the police equipment, it looks at though they will be removing the radio, radar gun, and computer. I've attached another picture of the inside equipment. The factory radio has been replaced by the controller for the in-car video camera system.

Thanks guys! The sale has been approved by their City Manager. I'm not sure when I will be flying out there to complete the transaction and pick up the car. It's only a 10 hour drive home! This car will look great next to my 1985 SSP Mustang, which is also all-black.

That's pretty cool.. wheres the shots of entire family together?

I need to do that. I've rationalized that I now have the perfect number of Mustangs. There's a DD for each licensed driver in the house, and then I have 2 projects for the weekend. I'm not bragging - only fooling myself into believing that I'm not a hoarder!
