Hello fellas i am fixing to order an sct tuner and the highest octane we have here is 90. Can i still run 91 tune or do i just stick with 87 octane on an 87 tune? Thank you.

Not everyone lives on internet boards and has 16,000+ or 1800+ posts as some do. If you have time to do that, then you have time to answer simple questions for people that don't live on or moderate internet boards. Good luck with your tune Rod.

You don't have to have a ton of posts or time to use the search feature.

actually if you have a proper tune, with the wideband system in place, you should be fine on a 91 tune, it should pull if it's detecting detonation

you can, but not a good idea, get with a good tuner who can write a tune for 90

stkjock is spot on. This the best advice.

Have a good tuner write you a tune for 90 octane period.

THIS^^^^^I have ran Bama 93 tune on 87 before. Knock sensors will do their job. A guy here checked his on his own dyno. He ran 87 on a Bama and Brendspeed 93 tune and the computer pulled no timing. These tunes are conservative to protect reputation. Thats my opinion. If you have a custom tune and your tuner says hey 93 only you better listen.
