So with the new 5.0 stroker I'm needing a new oil pump to go with it to help reach my power goals. Now for the options. I know everyone is anti-mmr on here but they offer a racing oil pump for the small block I'm looking at without cam lockouts. Or the other option is to get full lockouts and run a gt 500 oil pump. Which is the better route?

Thanks

get the gt500 pump. I think a lot of guys came to the conclusion the stock 3v pumps failing is a balancing issue

yep - if it's balanced right, the stock pump or Gt500 pump with limiters or lock-outs will give you no problems.

Hey Dan
If it was me fully lock the vct use the Shelby GT500 oil pump and run 5w-50 as the Shelby GT500 does that oil will have plenty of cushion for the factory vibration these motors make.
