Why do I get the feeling that 6.50 to 7.00 in the 1/8 would not even be remotely close to competitive in this class???[/QUOT

Don I agree,

Check this out : · Manual Transmissions deduct 100lbs from base weight
· Nitrous powered cars deduct 50lbs from base weight
· Non Intercooled/non aftercooled supercharger systems deduct 50lbs from base weight
· Less than 370 cubic inches deduct 50lbs from base weight
· Over 404 cubic inches ADD 50lbs to base weight
· Naturally Aspirated combinations under 404 cubic inches deduct 100lbs from base weight
· Naturally Aspirated combinations over 404 cubic inches deduct 50lbs from base weight
· Independent rear suspension equipped vehicles deduct 50lbs from base weight
· Vortech YSI/ProCharger F1C powered vehicles add 100lbs

How about a Fox with 408ci add 50lbs of weight , and spray a 250 shot .
Definately faster then 6.50

To be competative you will need to be sub 6.00 . There are plenty street cars in the 9.60 to 9.30 range nowadays.
