Paxton/Vortech discharge tube: is this right?

Helping a friend with his Novi 2200 install and he sent me this pic this morning. Discharge is aimed at the bottom of the radiator, bypass valve is almost touching the blower bracket here and will hit the fan shroud if rotated towards the front. Only thing I could think of is maybe he has the tube installed upside down? View media item 8810

Well I can't see the picture, but it is a tight fit. I upgraded to a Tial 50mm BOV and its even tighter. It never hits the bracket or fan shroud.
