The corner carver guys have it covered. I honestly was hoping for a lot more pics from the drag racing crowd....especially the 10sec rides and faster. As of right now the lack of quality material is holding it up some.

The track photographers take some great pics, but I can't use those unless you paid for the image. Ones that are just grabbed off a website, that still has a watermark is usually a no-no to use in other stuff (such as ads, websites, videos, etc).

Nothing yet. I have a lot of quality road race material, but sadly not much drag racing action.

it depends on where you go and if its a rental or not.

you get away with way more on a rental

also, I don't know if you have ever been to raceway park in NJ, but most track officials don't live in fear of people looking for lawsuits. So many tracks, especially backwoods tracks, let you get pretty close. Also many tracks have camera people there who just hang out and take pictures all day so they can sell you a pic of your car.

Do the track officials just let people walk up with you and take the pics? Atco raceway in particular.

It varies by track but if you sign a liability waiver you can go out to the track with the car in the burnout box/staging area. At my track you can also go out to about the 60' mark. Then if you go to the stands (where I take all of my panning shots anyway) you can take great pics there if you are up high and of course have the right photo equipment.

No fancy glamorous shots of the current car, but one sure to bring a chuckle of my old mach1, getting treed by an old dude in a straw hat in an orange jalopy, running 12s/13s (track tech? what track tech?)

Not an action shot - but snapped while waiting for them to clean up the pieces of a Corvette that went into the wall:
