Was wondering the same thing.....all this money in this build and you can't send $12 to a great fourm member/vendor?

Paypal glitched and kept sending out a wrong address. I had to call to fix it. They were suposed to credit him since the shipping company charged him to fix the issue. If it turns out they didn't, I'll just send him the $12. Didn't even know this was still an issue until today.

What James said....you are being called out....hopefully you can get it worked out!

You may want to visit the bad sellers thread.

Thanks I will. I ussually only log onto the site to look something up real quick, and respond to a PM if my phone tells me I have one. Been crazy busy at work. I guess my phone sometimes doesnt treat the email notifications as a "new message" if its in the same string of emails, like a reply to a PM.

Purty.

My understanding of those baffles & doors is to prevent slosh & starvation under heavy cornering loads, yes?

Picked up block today, 9 hour round trip to machine shop fighting through LA traffic, AHHH.

Edit: I'll throw some tech in here too in case anyone is curious:
Block had ARP main studs torqued in place, as well as 3.5in thick Billet Aluminum torque plates on both banks, torqued w. ARP studs for the hone process. Piston to Wall Clearance was set at 0.0030.

It looked great except the intake valley, which I ended up painting.

All the rings were file fit, and everything cleaned. Ready to start putting it together tomorrow.

Looks great man! I'll be installing your old stroker crank soon as my pistons come in, Manley had them on back order this whole time!

Just finished the longblock. The timing was actually way easier then I thought it would be. If anyone wants detailed step by step instructions on anything, lemme know, I'll post it up.

I ended up using a combination of the shop manual and Comp Cams instructions to get all the timing components on. You set the left and right bank cams position IAW the instructions, and attempt to slide the VCT/Cam gears in position with the tensioner NOT installed. You can tweak the position with a wrench on one of the cams, there are flats specifically for this purpose. Once both cams are indexed to each other correctly, you can install the secondary chain tensioner, and just slide them on. This way you wont have to deal with getting the chain onto the tensioner and trying to line the cams up. Once they were on, I installed the Comp Limiters.

I had all new hardware and torqued them and added the required degree of rotation:

After you have both banks installed, its time for the main timing chains starting with the left bank. Align one dark chain link with the timing mark on the crank gear (NOT the keyway) and the other one with its respective mark on the VCT's. Use the "L" mark on the left bank, and "R" on the right, both marks are present on each gear, so make sure to use the proper one.

Once you have verified everything is lined up, pull your pins and your done. I gave the engine a complete revolution to expand the tensioners fully and make sure everything was tracking correctly.

Why are you using limiters with aftermarket pistons with big valve reliefs?

I am building one right now for a buddy with same cams and some Diamond pistons but we will not be using the limiters. I have limiters in my 2014 with those same cams and it hurts tq down low real bad. I even plan to remove my limiter when I do a forged shortblock and a/m pistons too.

Just curious.

Nice build though

Long story short, Comp recommended it. But I might remove them once I'm ready to get the car tuned. They are custom cams, so they are a little more aggressive then the NA Stage 3's. You don't even need to remove the timing cover to do them, so Its not a big deal.

Unfortunately its going into storage in a couple weeks. Got orders to PCS early, and I have no way to take it with me, or get all the parts I need to finish in the time frame I have. I still need a Fuel System, Coils, Breather, CAI, and the FRPP control pack. My plan is to take some leave in 4-5 months, fly back to San Diego, wrench on it for a week and drive it across country to my new duty station.
