Why not ask Steeda?

I've tried calling them twice this morning. No answer, just the message machine.

I did check their website out and I searched through the forums. Steeda's website says 2005-2010 for it. But in speaking with Sam Strano, he said he has Steeda's that fit the 2011. I was just wondering if they were the same as the 2010 part numbers so if some pop up for sale, I can get them cheaper.:thumb2:

I'll try calling them again though.

Just went through lowering my 2011 last week with an earlier set up(2005-2010). 2011's use different front springs, struts and mounts than the previous years. If you change one out you have to convert the whole unit.

Well, what's confusing me is I'm having a couple of vendors tell me to use the Steeda Camber plates when I get the new Koni's. One told me he had them in stock too. But I can't find anyone listing a strut camber plate from Steeda. So am wondering if these two guys, one of them I know for sure is extremely smart on these cars..Sam Strano, have tried the 2010 Steeda camber plates on a 2011 and found out they work just fine and fit just fine.

I was hoping someone had upgraded to a 2011 and could tell me for sure by moving their Steeda camber plates over to the 2011.

If you look at 2011 and 2010 from the engine bay you will see that the top of the strut rod sits lower on the 2011. I've lower both my 2007 and a 2011 myself. Not sure if the springs are the same length but I'm positive that the strut and the strut mount are completely different. The 2011 doesn't have that snap on rubber bottom on the mount and the strut rod isn't as long.

Aren't the Steeda camber plates the same for the 2010 and the 2011?

Thanks in advance.

Hi there, no they are not.

555-8120 will only fit 2005-2010 models. The reason for this is not cause it wont bolt up to the vehicle, but because Ford changed the factory strut mount, and our 555-8120 uses one part from the original strut mount that cannot be transfered on the 2011 because its completely different.

The front struts are different as well, but you can put good struts in the front if you wish, you just need to get a 2010 factory upper strut mount, you just would not have camber adjustment with it.

So there aren't any aftermarket options for the 2011 GT's yet besides putting on the $85 GT500 mounts?

Correct, we've worked on a design for the 2011, but it will need to use a stock front strut, so until aftermarket companies come up with 2011 struts that mount will leave you no other options.
