Great job!!! Very impressive for sure. That's what I call the driver mod at it's best. How are you leaving at the tree? I would assume slipping the clutch a bit then hammering on it. Got any video??
Thanks, that run I left at 2500rpm slipping a little, i just let it spin, then it hooks. really spins on the 1st to 2nd shift. I found that if u baby it to much out of the whole it dont run good, u have to get aggressive with it. I have a cell phone video that I have on facebook, I will see if I can figure out how to post it here.

Thanks, I knew it was capable and when people were saying it couldnt be done, that made me determined to do it. Took a few runs to figure out what launch worked, could have probally ran a few more 11.9s but there was a few spills on the track and it was getting colder, so we left.

Thanks everyone, track close soon here so not if sure if I will make it back to the track this year. Going to do some winter modding and in the spring shoot for the mid to low 11's

Had a good night at the track tonight. My 2011 Mustang 5.0 went 11.98@118 with a 1.8 60-ft. on stock Pirelli tires. With slicks and skinny's will be a easy mid 11 sec. car. My car is a premium 400a, with brembos, 3.73's and 6-speed manual. With no weight reduction at all. I know alot of people said it couldnt be done, but I got the timeslip, I'm so excited. This car is awesome.

Mods:
*Lethal Performance O/R X-pipe
*Flowmaster Axle-Back
*JLT cai
*Revolution Automotive tune
*UPR upper and lower control arms and Panhard Bar
*BMR lowering springs

Also ran a 12.3, 12.1 and 12.0 all at 117. I think I could maybe get a 11.8 out of it on pirelli's if the track was alittle warmer. Spins a good amount on the 1st to 2nd shift.

Glad to be proven wrong... wouldnt have thought it possible...

Shifting at 7k?

I haven't made a HUGE amount of passes on my car (approx 20-25 now) but I get better times when I shift a little lower than that and of course ride 4th across the line. If it hasn't already closed, try around 6700-6800 and check the results.

That is what my times have came from

awsome!, you got me on the trap speed. my best was 117 on a 12.0 pass. i had a small head wind dont know how much it really matterd though.
i was shifting at 7 g also, leaving close to 3g slipping the clutch. i was not power shifting i was lifting the throttle, have had bad experiences in the past with power shifting...lol..
my only supension mod is lca, to keep the wheel hop down, car transfers weight good.
our mods are very similar, and both runnig stock tires .this would be a awsome race!!

I will add my car without mods just to show how much of a difference up top it makes. Please note I ran on 17" et streets in a negative DA with a 93 octane tune being the only mod (I obviously was able to launch much more aggressively). I could only wish for a 118 trap!!

So the mods definitely made a difference as levelbelow picked up 25.75 mph on the back half of the track, while cobramike picked up 24.66 and me just edging over 24mph. Car is definitely pulling hard on the back end so you can expect some GREAT times if you slap some tires on there.

congradulations on running in the 11's, its awesome what these cars will do with minmum mods. it would definitly be a good race between the 2 of us, who ever would get out of the whole first would get the win.
