Installed some tint a couple weeks back and used a heat gun to try to force the rather thick tint into the crease in the taillights. I developed some bubbles around the area and I think the excessive heat caused some issues elsewhere.

Those of you who have done this, are you just applying the film flat and not forcing it into the crease or what?

I have some waves in mine for the inserts on my '13. It didn't come out perfectly, but it isn't that noticeable.

On my 09 I just layed it flat, and did not attempt to stick it in the crease. Later I went to Raxiom stock tinted taillights since I liked the look better, especially with a clear reverse light.

The tint film I have came with 4 strips per light (separate one for reverse light), so nothing went in the creases.
